Members of the public can rest assured that any carer looking after a loved one, that is one of our members, have all their qualifications in date and meet every requirement to perform their roles.
Feel free to check if YOUR carer is a member of our organisation by contacting us through this website and should you want to see their full list of up to date qualifications, we can provide this for a small administration fee.
GCWA is NOT a trade union.
We are a professional body – care workers – celebrating what we do, supporting each other, ensuring that all the required and expected standards are adhered to and raising the standards where required.
We aim to ensure that carers are recognised for their work, as professionals.
We share our knowledge and experience to help all carers work to the highest level and conduct themselves in the correct manner.
All our members agree to our minimum standards and Code of Conduct.
By coming together as a professional body, we aim to ensure that all care workers are treated fairly and that the work they deliver is supported by correct training, refresher courses and management.
Care workers are some of the most important people employed in social care and deserve this respect.
